Heat Pump Water Heaters for the Southeast
The Advanced Workforce Ready Project has identified four electrification technologies that are under-utilized within the Southeast, but currently face barriers to adoption. Heat pump water heaters can save 60% of annual energy consumption, but have little market penetration. Basics of HPWH technology are introduced in this course, along with common myths and facts, barriers to adoption and market incentives. We will also introduce participants to resources the US Department of Energy has developed to support businesses who offer HPWH to consumers.
