Contracts and Consumer Protection: The Mandatory Notices, Terms, Conditions, and Provisions Contractors Must Include in Florida Construction Contracts
This course is designed to educate attendees on the statutory notices which must be included within construction contracts between contractors and property owners. Contractors and homebuilders in attendance will learn the types of notices property owners must be provided in any construction, repair, restoration, or home improvement agreement. Attendees will receive instruction on: [1] which Florida Statutory notices are required for which types of construction agreements, [2] how to implement those notices into the contractor’s current proposals/agreements, [3] the legislative intent behind each type of notice, and [4] the potential administrative and civil ramifications in the event property owners do not receive the required notice.
