Damon is a born-and-bred New Yorker from Brooklyn, who now calls Miami home. A start-up opportunity and the allure of raising a family in the sun wrestled him away from his roots and 20-plus years in the New York City film industry.
Upon his arrival to Miami, Damon immersed himself in the South Florida business community and eventually pursued his current position as the regional sales executive with The Wall Street Journal. Since 2010, Damon has been The Journal’s expert on Florida real estate, covering every facet of the industry. His work with some of the nation’s most important real estate brands as well as Florida’s developer community has set him apart from other media in the region and throughout the US. Damon considers his experience with The Journal the greatest opportunity in the world – the New York job in Miami has brought him full-circle back to his New York roots.
Damon is a lifelong baseball “junkie” and photography aficionado, but his true passion is his family. He spends nearly all of his free time at home or exploring Florida with his wife Olga and their two children, Luca and Sofia.
