The Excel Awards honors those builders, commercial contractors, craftsman, Realtors®, on-site salespeople, public relations professionals, associate/supplier, media and advertising professionals who make major contributions to the residential home building and commercial construction industry through superior, innovative and creative sales and marketing. Excel Award recipients will be recognized at the Excel Awards Ceremony through a multi-media presentation.
Steps to Enter
1. Please complete Entry Application & Entry Fees are due no later than June 29, 2018.
FSMC Member = $100.00
Non-Member = $150.00
2. Once submitted Excel Entry system will generate your unique entry serial number(s) per entry.
3. Entry materials are due by June 29, 2018.

All entry materials, become the property of the Florida Sales and Marketing Council (FSMC) and entrants grant permission for the FSMC and/or FHBA/SEBC to publish or reproduce entries in any FHBA/SEBC publication and/or in any trade or consumer publication.

For Individual Achievement Awards: Those who excelled in service and involvement in the industry, sales achievements, performance, accomplishments and contributions made to the overall success of the company during the period from May 1, 2017 – April 30, 2018
For Marketing Categories: Products, services, new homes or communities, light commercial and industrial/public spaces built and marketed by an FHBA member during the period from April 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018 are eligible. A homebuilder, a commercial contractor or developer or one of his/her associates (sales manager, advertising agency, architect, interior designer, display designer, etc., may enter. A number of categories are also open to Associate and Supplier members who work in the housing industry.
Sales achievements made by the individual compared to others in the local market and the professional approach to sales, selling techniques used, and personal contribution and involvement in the housing industry, includes both new home sales personnel and associate/supplier sales personnel.
SALES AND MARKETING COUNCILS
Effective programs for membership development, education, public relations, community service, and other significant contributions.
Graphics, concept, overall design and execution, message and emotion communicated to target market.
Effectiveness in conveying project theme, relaying information, copy, and overall graphic design.
Concept, copy, layout, execution and overall design/presentation as it relates to target market.
PRINT/ELECTRONIC MEDIA CAMPAIGN
Judged on definition of marketing objectives, thematic relationships among advertising materials, execution of creative strategy, and use of media.
OVERALL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS
Definition of marketing objectives, concept, copy, layout and thematic relationships among advertising materials, execution of creative strategy, continuity of campaign, use and coordination of media and qualified traffic generated from campaign. Special Promotions may include pre-sale campaigns, Parade of Homes™, grand openings, broker co-op programs, home product show, supplier marketing program or other limited marketing campaigns.
To be judged on the quality of design, the ease of obtaining information, site functionality and the organization of information while maintaining the continuity of the marketing program.
Use of color, texture, materials, interior space, furnishings, window and wall treatments in relation to the specified target market as well as livability, quality and effectiveness of the design.
SALES OFFICE/DESIGN CENTERS
Function of floor plan layout and ability to visually convey information and communicate the marketing theme, product and builder image.
JOHN P. HALL AWARD
Any person employed by an FHBA member who has made significant and lasting contribution to the sales and marketing industry. Exhibits to include a detailed resume of what outstanding achievements, innovative ideas and/or contributions the candidate has made in the field of sales and marketing. Include any awards received for outstanding service, community involvement, and membership in other related associations.
